1. FLOWER CHILD (DALLAS)
Aside from its super Instagrammable “Radiate from Within” mural, Flower Child is known for its healthy build-your-own bowl menus and infused teas. What makes it even better is the reasonably priced menu! For $6.50, kids (or parents) get to pick two sides like broccoli with parmesan, sweet corn and quinoa, watermelon and a protein (grass-fed steak, organic tofu or all-natural chicken) to add to their bowl. 2. PENNE POMODORO (DALLAS)
We love how straightforward yet diverse the menu is at Penne Pomodoro. They serve gourmet pizzas, fresh pastas and my personal favorite, $1 Bellinis and Mimosas on Sundays! For the bambinos, they serve kid-friendly pasta with a choice of butter, olive oil or pomodoro sauce (as well as gluten and dairy-free options) and a variety of kids pizzas (gluten free dough options also available). Learn more about Penne Pomodoro here.
3. TRUE FOOD KITCHEN (PLANO)
As one of the leading health-driven restaurants in the DFW Metroplex, True Food is known for its quality ingredients and variety of brunch, lunch and dinner menus. Among delicious options like the quinoa burger and poke bowl, True Food also serves a diverse kids menu with a healthy twist including an almond butter, banana, & strawberry sandwich and chicken teriyaki bowl. 4. UNLEAVENED (DALLAS)
If you’re looking for fresh and lighter fare, Unleavened serves wraps, salads and amazing house-made dips. For the wee ones, they offer two different sets of menus: the “Kiddos” (including the cheesy Ruth: chicken, shaved cheddar and sour cream) and the “AM Kiddos” (mini portions of bacon, eggs, potatoes and shaved cheddar). Find out more about their offerings here.
5. YOLK (FORT WORTH)
Yolk’s location (Fort Worth’s downtown Sundance Square) is perfect for a family outing where you can enjoy breakfast all day! This bright and vibrant eatery offers eleven different varieties for kids including s’mores pancakes, turkey burger, Oreo pancakes and the popular “Big Kid Breakfast” (sausage, potatoes, fruits and a pancake).
