Sections of the Factory will open their doors Labor Day weekend, with additional venues opening periodically through 2018. The first venue to welcome fans will be The Pavilion with a performance by Chappelle on August 31, followed by a score of country performers including Brad Paisley and The Marshall Tucker Band. However, the Factory will provide much more than just music. With over 50,000 square feet of space, the area will also host fashion shows, farmers markets, food festivals and other events throughout the year. Texans familiar with Austin-based, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema are swooning over another DFW location, and a comedy club in addition to two dozen new restaurants will make this place the ultimate one-stop entertainment shop. The restaurants and bars include Gloria’s, Sambuca, Bar Louie, Yard House and many more.
WHERE TO STAY AND WHAT TO DO NEAR TOYOTA MUSIC FACTORY
Visitors to the entertainment district will be able to enjoy dinner, grab drinks, check out a show and then retire to one of the nearby hotels including The Omni Mandalay, The Marriott Las Colinas and the Four Seasons Resort at Las Colinas. Plus, the forthcoming Westin Convention Center Hotel will soon be the Factory’s next-door neighbor, offering 350 additional rooms.
Of course, there are ample adventures to be had throughout the city of Irving. Lake Carolyn, a short hop from the Music Factory, offers several water activities including romantic gondola rides. Visitors who love to hit the links can head to the gorgeous TPC Four Seasons.
Make plans this fall to visit Irving for a one-of-a-kind weekend and come find me at the Music Factory, where I’ll be rocking out to my musical idols aka KISS and The Flaming Lips.
