We believe that successful travel happens when people visit a destination in search of new experiences and leave with stories that last a lifetime.
VisitDFW is a venture of Dallas-Fort Worth area tourism stakeholders committed to creating authentic stories that make the North Texas travel experience remarkable. As the fastest growing major urban region in the United States, the DFW Metroplex is home to over six million people. And we know that there is a maelstrom of tourism information for you to sift through. Here, you will find the stories behind the countless, diverse experiences that make up the DFW region. Our stories are written by real people from DFW—people that know the lay of the land and the local knowledge that’ll make you a travel insider.

MEET THE TEAM
Bruce has been a destination marketing and business events industry leader for 30 years working with business enterprises on every continent, creating and leading organizations through strategic evolution to high-performance success throughout his career.
Bruce loves The Beatles, Marvel Comics and the Dallas Cowboys. His ideal dinner gathering would include his wife, Judy, Jesus Christ, John Lennon, Roger Staubach and Margaret Atwood.
DIRECTOR OF CONTENT MARKETING & DEVELOPMENT
A graduate from TCU and transplant from Arizona, McKenzie Riepen has worked in the tourism industry–promoting the Dallas-Fort Worth area for nearly eight years. She loves keeping up with the vibrant DFW event scene and enjoys writing about the people and places that make the area so unique.
McKenzie is a yoga instructor and when she’s not teaching or writing, you can find her outdoors: hiking, playing with her pups or enjoying a local brew on a patio.
CONTENT ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR
Discovering new areas and sharing her finds with friends has been Mary’s favorite pastime since high school. After graduating from UNT in 2017, she discovered an industry that combined her B.A. in Strategic Communications with her passion for exploring: Tourism. Since joining the VisitDFW team, she has fallen even more in love with Dallas-Fort Worth and its’ surrounding destinations.
Normally found with a book in hand, Mary enjoys traveling, meeting new people and sharing stories.
