My fiancé and I recently celebrated our anniversary with a staycation at the Hilton Dallas / Southlake Town Square, which is both DOG-FRIENDLY and stunning. Southlake is only about 25-30 minutes from Dallas and I wish we visited sooner! Of course, we brought along Dawson and Trigger — our two sweet pups.
When we arrived at the hotel, the first thing I noticed was how much there was to do. The hotel is right in all of the action of Southlake Town Square and is surrounded by all your favorite retail stores. There’s even a park behind the hotel to take a nice stroll, and don’t even get me started on all the dining places! We had a New Orleans restaurant IN THE HOTEL. Copeland of New Orleans’ even had a dog-friendly patio that we were able to enjoy a drink on.

The boys enjoyed walking with us and loved saying hi to all the other people exploring the square. There were even other dogs walking too! We ended our night with dinner at Copeland’s (that New Orleans restaurant I mentioned earlier) and came back to the room, watched tv and RELAXED. Our staycation was a great refresher. It’s always so nice to get away and enjoy each other… and the dogs!
Oh, Frisco! This is such a beautiful area with SO much to explore. It’s nice knowing you can bring your pups with you and have a hotel to stay at. There is so much to see, hear and taste during your stay at Hotel Indigo! I love the Frisco Rotary Farmers Market, Texas Sculpture Garden (perfect for a short walk with the pups) and the Black Box Theatre, right next to Frisco Square. Plus, Frisco has tons of delicious places to eat like Hutchins BBQ (mmmmm yummy), The Heritage Table and Mash’d (hello, dog-friendly patio)!
Arlington is right in the middle of DFW and is full of fun activities! Dog-friendly hotel Sheraton Arlington is only few minutes from Six Flags Over Texas, Texas Live (which is SO fun on game day) and close to the Rangers and Cowboys Stadiums. You can even take an AT&T Stadium Tour while you’re in town! When Chance (my fiance) and I went on a tour, we were able to see the locker rooms of the players and even the cheerleaders. The pups weren’t allowed to come with us on the tour, but we told them all about it when we got home.
Plano has a special place in my heart because Chance and I lived there when we both moved to the Dallas area. Since we lived there, we didn’t explore hotels often, but I definitely recommend visiting this dog-friendly gem. Hilton Dallas/Plano Granite Park is only minutes away from pet-friendly Shops at Legacy (um, shopping!), Granite Park Boardwalk (food GALORE) and Arbor Hills Nature Preserve (a great place for walkies!). If you’re looking for food recommendations, I’ve eaten at Hookline before and it was YUMMY. I took Chance there for dinner when it first opened, because he’s from the coast and I wanted to take him to get some seafood. Needless to say, he loved it. You really can’t go wrong with all of this nearby the hotel!
Although I haven’t experienced it firsthand, I’ve seen how much the Four Seasons in Las Colinas loves pups! A blogger I follow (@heymadinelson) has taken her pup (@heywinnienelson) to this hotel, and they treated her like ROYALTY! There was a dog bed with her name on it, food and water bowls, treats, a handwritten note and even TOYS! There’s so much to do during your stay here, including golf, lounging at the pool and even a spa. You don’t even have to go far to have drinks because they have a patio restaurant downstairs where you can enjoy cocktails and a bite to eat. It’s a complete getaway all in one! If you do want to venture out for a little walk, I’d highly suggest strolling along the Mandalay Canal. Your dogs will wonder how they got to Venice!
