The entire Texican Court hotel in Irving is an Instagrammer’s dream. There are multiple patio areas, a circular pool surrounded by millennial pink doors, a firepit, The Tequila Bar, a chic lobby and of course a delicious restaurant, Two Mules Cantina. 10/10 recommend you order Elotes and the Texas Trio to kick your meal off!
One of my favorite murals in all of DFW is nuzzled away in Deep Ellum at the base of a staircase in Vidorra! The mural reads: I Didn’t Text You, Tequila Did. One of my other favorite murals in Dallas is located at the same restaurant, just a few stairs down from the first. It reads: I Wish I Was Full of Tacos Instead of Emotions. Relatable? I think so. Ditch the emotions, go get some Vidorra tacos (and a great mural photo to boot)!
If eating a delicious meal on a patio overlooking the river sounds up your alley, then head over to Woodshed Smokehouse in Fort Worth. Bring your dog, too! In a perfect world, make your dinner plans revolve around what time the sun in setting…It’s the perfect time to take a photo. They also have a fun “I Heart FW” mural that makes for great ‘grams.
4. DOUGH DOUGH
There are dozens of great places to take photos of sweets in DFW, but one of my favorites is Dough Dough! They have two locations, one in Frisco near Stonebriar and the other in Dallas. The edible cookie dough sundae is a must-order…Your taste buds and Instagram followers will both thank you later!
5. LSA BURGER
There are dozens of great items to order off of the LSA Burger menu, all sure to give you the perfect #burgergram. Some Denton locals recommend ordering Double Trouble and Attitude. Bonus point if you make sure you’re seated upstairs on the patio. There’s art all around you for added ‘gram opportunities. Better yet, these artsy murals are created by local DFW artists!
The entire place is like an adult playground! One side of the restaurant you can enjoy a vintage arcade and the other is a huge indoor-outdoor bar area. The space is over 8,500 square feet, so when I say there are plenty of places to get a variety of photos…I mean it! Their menu is as extensive as their space. The Remedy Burger is sure to make everyone reminisce of the past (RIP, Remedy) and the Miami Vice will give your IG beach vibes without ever leaving the metroplex.
The name says it all, right? Wow! Donuts and Drips is one of my favorite places to stop when I have friends in town. Everyone is always blown away by the creative donuts, but also the gorgeous aesthetics of the Plano donut shop. My favorite donut to order is the Dirt and Worms donut. It reminds me of the desserts I used to make as a kid with chocolate pudding, oreos and gummy worms! Pair the donut with a brightly colored lemonade and you’ve got yourself the perfect pic.
One of the most talked about new spots in Dallas, of course La La Land Kind Cafe had to make the list! From the branding on their cups, the white building, to the yellow truck parked out front, La La Land Kind Cafe is one of the most Instagramable restaurants in Dallas. Beyond the aesthetically pleasing appeals, it’s a great place to support because they are staffed by foster kids who are aging out of the system or have turned 18 and are struggling to find a job. How great is that?
A little bit of this, a little bit of that…that’s the motto at Legacy Food Hall in Plano! You can go to a dozen different places to build the perfect feast. Pro tip: always visit Legacy Food Hall in a group, that way you truly can experience everything that the food hall has to offer, minus the tummy ache from eating everything in sight.
Brand new to DFW, Firehouse Gastro Park in Grand Prairie is making a name for itself as one of the coolest places to eat, drink and photograph in the area. It’s located inside a uniquely renovated 20th Century Fire Station, and honestly that in itself has me intrigued! The space features indoor and outdoor dining, a secret garden bar, coffee shop, smoke house, Mama Medicine cocktails and more. I haven’t been yet…but I’ll be making a visit for the ‘gram very soon!
