NorthPark Center has a giant courtyard right in the middle of it, which makes Breadwinners’ patio ideal as the green space backs right up to it. Whenever we go, there are kids playing on the grass while their parents enjoy their food on the patio. It is perfect for everyone in the family! (And, if you have some shopping you need to get done, afterward you can explore the nicest mall in Dallas.)
With a pretty outdoor patio that lights up at night, you’ll find a vibrant and romantic ambiance waiting to greet you. Pair that with some mouthwatering, hot pizza, and you’ve got the perfect date night. After tasting their house-made mozzarella and handcrafted dough, Cavalli’s Pizza might just become your new favorite pizzeria.
The Dallas Farmers Market makes patio dining that much more fun because you can enjoy food from a variety of restaurants. The giant shed filled with local goods, in addition to the indoor market with shops and restaurants, makes this one of my favorite places to visit on the weekends. Here you’ll find that it’s so worth it to shop (and dine) local!
5. GARDEN CAFE
This patio is like none other. In an off-the-beaten-path location, you are surrounded by a garden in the truest sense. The Garden Cafe did “farm-to-table” way before it became cool. On one side of the patio, there are rows of crops being grown, and on the other side, you’ll find the stunning vine-covered archways pictured here. Oh, and don’t mind the friendly roosters walking around as you dine.
7. HG SUPPLY CO
You’ll find plenty of patio restaurants on Lower Greenville in Dallas, but I chose to put HG Suply Co on this list because of it’s incredible rooftop view. The rooftop patio is huge and boasts views of the Dallas skyline. Though you can’t order from the full menu, there is a small menu with some of their more popular snacks to pair perfectly with your drinks. Head here for happy hour or with a large group.
8. TRUE FOOD
Here’s a fun fact about Legacy West: The developer required every restaurant to have a patio! My favorite: True Food Kitchen. The fresh farm-to-table menu pairs nicely with the outdoor patio vibes. As someone who loves to eat healthy, every time we go to True Food Kitchen, we enjoy a guilt-free and tasty experience.
You can’t beat this view of Joe Pool Lake in Grand Prairie at the Oasis Restaurant, situated right on the Marina. We dined at the Oasis after a day of boating and soaking up the sun at Lynn Creek Park; it was a perfect ending to our day. Is it just me, or does seafood taste even better when you’re by the water? Be sure to try their oysters!
If you’re in Uptown Dallas, one of my favorite spots is Moxie’s where you can enjoy your meal on the patio of the Crescent Building. The Crescent is one of the hallmarks of Uptown because of it’s gorgeous architecture. I recommend the Huevos Rancheros for brunch paired with a grapefruit mojito.
