Ah, fall in Texas – We’re out of the triple-digit temperatures and have quite a while to enjoy the outdoors before it starts getting cold. This is prime time for patio drinking and dining, and DFW has some of the best spots for celebrating the end of Texas summer heat with deals just as nice as the atmosphere.
Located in Historic Downtown Frisco, this wine bar is a place for friends, created by friends. The owners of Eight 11 Place are four life-long pals and L.A. natives that brought the California vibe to north Texas. They’ve been named #1 live music venue in Frisco, and offer Happy Hour from 4–6 p.m. on Monday through Thursday. Sit out on their patio and celebrate making it halfway through the week with half-price bottles of wine every Wednesday.
This Dallas bar loves happy hour so much that they offer drink specials from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. daily. Inwood Tavern‘s cool atmosphere and killer happy hour may be why they’re the oldest continuously operating bar in Dallas. Invite your friends to enjoy Sunday Funday with you on the Inwood Tavern patio. Who can resist $3 mimosas and $2.50 wells?
Located in the buzzing West 7th District in Fort Worth, Mash’d specializes in moonshine-based drinks and features happy hour specials all day on Monday, twice a day Tuesday through Saturday, and any time after 3 p.m. on Sunday. Although there is a Mash’d in Frisco, the wide range of happy hour times at their Fort Worth location definitely takes the cake.
If you want to experience Southern fall weather like a true Texan, gather your friends and head over to Smoke’s patio. Your taste buds will savor Smoke’s delicious Modern Texas Cuisine made from-scratch and cooked over fire. Smoke’s offers $5 appetizers and $6 glasses of wine and various cocktails during their happy hour, Monday through Friday from 3 –7 p.m.
*Smoke’s Plano location is now closed, but you can still enjoy delicious food and great happy hour specials at their Dallas location.
5. THE LOT
We love The Lot (a lot) and we bet you will too. This hip Dallas bar has a spacious patio, live music and happy hours for the day birds and night owls. Come grab a discounted drink during the week from 3–7 p.m., or any time after 10 p.m. Monday through Sunday. The Lot also features a children’s garden and play area for the kiddos. It’s no wonder that the Dallas Morning News named this hot spot one of the best patios in Dallas.
