Epic Waters indoor park is the newest addition to Grand Prairie’s many unique family-focused attractions. After my first visit, I realized there is so much fun packed under this Texas-sized roof, I’ll be coming back again and again as it’s open during weekdays and throughout the year. Visitors can enjoy a total of nine rides in the main tower—three of which are first of their kind. There’s also a two-lane FlowRider where you can ride the waves, a lazy river that’s full of surprises, and an indoor and 10,000 square foot outdoor wave pool (open during the summer months).
TOP 3 REASONS TO VISIT
Epic Waters certainly lives up to its name, so I’m sharing the top 3 attractions that will keep you coming back season after season.
- LassoLoop: The tallest indoor AquaLoop body slide provides thrills with a vertical free-fall, capturing the feeling of a high-adrenaline rush around the 45 degree loop.
- YellowJacket Drop: This is the first slide featuring a unique fusion inner tube to give the rider a sense of zero gravity! Zip though high banking and fast turns that open up into a drop that sends the rider high and feeling a weightlessness sensation.
- Aquanaut: If you’re looking for a bobsledding feeling—no matter the season— then this is the slide for you. The first indoor double rider has it all with the fun of entering domes and riding high on the walls of the slide.
Of course, Epic Waters provides other fun experiences aside from just the water rides. You will find a mega arcade, food and bar, cabanas and a perfect space for birthday parties and more. Now, even December kids can have a birthday party at the water park.
Prices for Epic Waters varies, but patrons who are residents of Grand Prairie can expect discounted prices on admission and other packages. For non residents, daily entrance fees range from $24 to $29, depending on height.
Most of the attractions found at Epic Waters can be described as largest, first or longest. You will be sure to find an epic adventure for you and your family.
