What better place to binge-watch Gossip Girl with the Blaire to your Serena than the cutest hotel in downtown Dallas? The Adolphus has you covered with all of the Galentine’s essentials: chocolate (Nutella Waffles at City Hall), pampering (the spa is GOALS) and champagne (have you seen the French Room? Oh-la-LA!).
What’s better than an adult slumber party? A slumber party that doesn’t require you to clean your house. Reserve a few rooms (or better yet, a suite) at Grapevine’s Gaylord Texan Hotel to escape all the stresses of Valentine’s Day. You can order room service, lounge in a robe, have a spa day and so much more in the comfort of this awesome Insta-worthy hotel.
WINE & DINE
If you and your gals are looking for a fancy dinner out, Town Hearth is calling your name. The aesthetic of this Dallas restaurant can’t be beat. It’s the perfect excuse to dress up and celebrate you and your gals! Since it is a pretty popular spot, I’d suggest calling ahead to make a reservation.
If you’re in the Grapevine area, this cool little restaurant is a must! It’s located in the heart of Historic Downtown Grapevine, and is the perfect spot to visit before or after experiencing the Urban Wine Trail. Don’t forget to snap a pic with your gals under their adorable “la place des bisous…” sign. Insta-goals!
Do me a favor and order a bunch of apps for the table to split, along with a few pizzas. It’s the only (best) way to dine at Pie Tap! They have locations in Plano and Dallas — I love dining at Pie Tap in the Design District, becuase it’s just a short drive from Downtown Dallas (AKA, a great way to end a day of exploring).
Casual vibes + stellar views. That’s the name of the game at Press Cafe! One of my favorite things about it (other than the food) is that it’s located right by The Trailhead at Clearfork in Fort Worth, making it super easy to enjoy a bike ride or walk along the Trinity River after you wrap up your meal.
Two words for you…revolving sushi bar. That’s right, it’s not just in the movies. This little Plano gem has delicious sushi, and killer happy hour specials. Hello, $12 all-you-can-eat sushi! Sushi Envy happy hour is from 5 PM to 9 PM on Monday, and 5 PM to 7 PM on Tuesday through Thursday.
Get in loser, we’re going shopping! Okay, all jokes aside, this is one of my favorite ways to spend Galentine’s with my BFFs. Whether you’re shopping at NorthPark Center or shopping local boutiques, a good ole fashion shopping spree is always better when your gals are involved. One of my personal faves is Beatnik Fine Goods in Oak Cliff!
Treat yourself, and your gals, to the Vivian’s Rosy Glow mini-facial (available only on Galentine’s Day) and Sweet Rose & Sea Salt Scrub mani/pedis. If that’s not reason enough to pick up the phone and schedule, you’ll also get to enjoy complimentary champagne and rosé while you relax at this Dallas spa.
GIRL’S NIGHT OUT
Arcade games, tasty bites and cold drinks await you and your gals at Free Play Arcade. There are plenty of classics to choose from, so there’s sure to be a trip down memory lane for everyone in your group! Best part? It’s just $6 to get in, and all the games are set to free play. You can find Free Play Arcades in Arlington and Richardson, but I suggest heading to their new Denton spot to snap a pic under the neon sign “heaven is a place on earth”.
Taking a quick trip to the beach might be a little tricky, but that doesn’t mean you can’t break out your swimmie and hop in the pool! Grab your favorite gals for a super casual, out of the ordinary night out at Grand Prairie’s new indoor waterpark. Plus, it’s a great photo spot. #DOITFORTHEGRAM
If you’re feeling like a classic night out on the town, there’s nothing wrong with that! Here are some of the coolest bars in DFW for you and your Galentine’s to check out. My personal favorite spot for a G.N.O. is The Green Room in Deep Ellum. Drinks and views of the Dallas skyline? Count me in!
