Never has there been more FOMO going on as I walked through the food hall with a tray of duck fat fried chicken wings and fries from Roots Chicken Shak. Owned by celebrity chef, Tiffany Derry, the down-home Southern menu will have you finger-lickin’ good.
2. CERTIFIABLY GOOD NEOPOLITAN PIZZA
90 seconds in a 900 degree oven gets you authentic wood-fire-blistered Neapolitan pizza at Forno Nero. This offshoot brought by the folks at the Associazione Pizzaiuoli Napoletani certified Cavalli’s Pizza, makes their own hand-spun dough with fresh toppings.
3. BOOM CHICKA BAO BAO
Doughy pillows of heaven stuffed with fillings like melt-in-your-mouth pork belly and slaw makes Enter The Bao one of Legacy Hall’s favorite finger foods. For something a little different, try the K-Pop fries: seasoned furikaki fries topped with Korean kalbi brisket, kimchi aioli and cilantro.
4. UPTOWN GOES NORTH
The Shawarma, the sibling stall to Uptown’s Baboush serves up authentic Mediterranean street food. The 48-hour process of marinating the lamb and chicken and then slow roasted on a rotating spit makes for tender, flavorful meat. Have your meat wrapped in one neat package with a warmed pita bread or served on a bed of rice.
