Feeling festive? Nothing says getting in the Christmas spirit like grabbing a few friends and exploring a photo pop up with holy jolly installations. If that sounds up your speed, Museum of Memories has the cutest holiday photo opportunities designed by artist, Steffi Lynn Tsai, her brother and her childhood friend. I recently got to explore the Instagrammable museum (and take dozens of photos!), so wanted to share all the inside information to make your experience top-notch!
Each room is designed to feel a bit nostalgic, hence the name Museum of Memories… and the Christmas exhibits are no different! One of my favorite rooms references Mean Girls. Some rooms aren’t so much about the past, but are very punny. One thing they all have in common… they make for great photo ops!

HOW TO MAKE THE MOST OUT OF YOUR EXPERIENCE
Before you head to this amazing interactive art exhibit, I encourage you to check out photos on Instagram to get some posing ideas in mind! The snow globe caught me off guard… I wish I would have done some Insta-stalking beforehand so my photo could have turned out cuter! Speaking of getting the best photo, if your schedule allows, I would aim to go during the day so you can get natural light for your photos! Every art room is lit up, but a little sunshine goes a long way.
If you’re dedicated to doing it for the ‘gram, you can bring multiple outfits and change in their bathroom. It’s a judgement-free zone! Or you can be like me and wear outfits with layers to mix it up. The MoM team also is happy to help you take the perfect photo, so don’t be afraid to ask them to snap a group picture for you!
Museum of Memories Christmas exhibits will only be open through the end of 2019, so don’t wait to buy your tickets! You can even get 10% off with the code: VISITDFWMOM. And when you go, be sure to tag me (@StreetsBeatsEats) and @VisitDFW in your photos so we can see all the fun you have! Happy holidays, y’all!
