WHAT TO EXPECT
The line-up is awesome; with the likes of Sam Hunt, Luke Bryan and Eli Young Band all scheduled to tear up the stage at Toyota Stadium. The line-up is further augmented by Morgan Evans, Jake Owens and the Aaron Watson. It’s an uncharacteristically impressive set of stars for a festival only in its third year, but it’s already tradition for Off the Rails to showcase killer talent.

Nothing says Texas like great country music and great food in the great outdoors.
This Frisco hotspot is home to the Cowboys practice facility and dozens of dining establishments. If you’re like me, you may spend as much time in Cow Tipping Creamery as you do running around on the complex’s mini football field. Whatever you do, don’t mix the two — that can only lead to disaster.
Football fans rejoice: In addition to The Star, Frisco, home of FC Dallas, also holds the country’s one and only soccer hall of fame. The men and women of U.S.A. soccer are celebrated in this hallowed hall inside Toyota Stadium. I may have played lots of youth soccer in Frisco back in the day, but thankfully you won’t find any photos of my soccer days (bowl cut and all) in this museum — just a really cool interactive experience that honors the greats.
Arlington isn’t the only option for enjoying America’s Pastime. Frisco is home to the Texas Rangers’ Double A affiliate, the Frisco RoughRiders. This rowdy bunch of minor leaguers serve up major league fun (and funnel cakes) in the cozy confines of Dr. Pepper Ballpark, where you can find me chasing fly balls, or just chasing down those aforementioned funnel cakes. Because dang — they’re good. Pro tip: Get tickets to watch the game from the ballpark’s Lazy River. You won’t be dissapointed.
Frisco isn’t all about the sports scene — they make room for gamers, too. This museum is a must-stop for Mario maniacs, Fortnite fans and everyone in between. While my video game knowledge begins and ends with Mario and Fortnite, I loved learning about how this seminal american hobby and art form has evolved over time. And, of course, playing games on all the old consoles.
