With over 24 food stalls everyone gets what they want at Legacy Food Hall! Even better, grab a group, have everyone visit a food stall or two, and then bring it all together for a family style meal. On top of all of the food options, Legacy Food Hall also has a multiple bars (including Unlawful Assembly Brewing Co. on the third floor), a $5 mimosa bar on the weekends, unique events like Oktoberfeast and regular live music outside in The Box Garden. There’s tons of delicious food stalls to try, but here are my two favorites.
One of Plano’s newest restaurant spaces is like walking along the coast. It makes for a romantic date destination with beautiful patios and lights strewn around. I restaurant-hopped here during my girl’s getaway and fell in love with the atmosphere and all the delicious food! Here’s two spots you have to try when visiting The Boardwalk at Granite Park.
This is more than your average biscuit! The Biscuit Bar has taken biscuits to a while new level with biscuits like the HOSS covered in bacon, jack cheese, house made sausage gravy, honey butter. Another favorite is the French Toast biscuit, dipped in sweet vanilla custard, pan fried golden brown and topped with house-made whipped cream.
On top of some of the most chic shops and locals sharing their passions, Downtown Plano is filled with local restaurants to try! They also have a monthly arts and wine wine walk, where you can sip and shop from local downtown businesses. If you want to dine with local foodies, keep an eye out for Night Out on 15th Street, an annual event where everyone gathers together for a meal in the middle of Downtown Plano. Of course, there’s delicious places to eat every day of the year — Here’s two you don’t want to pass up!
With pretty pink doors to greet you, XO Coffee Company & Bistro is more than a beautiful coffee shop. You can grab a light bite here any day of the week, but they host fun themed dinners, too! Some of the past dinners include a Moroccan night and a roaring 20s dinner. XO’s special dinners are definitely fun local events to experience!
The Shops at Willowbend now has a new culinary area with chef-driven concepts. Not only are there several restaurants to choose from, but also a great outdoor area where you can relax after your meal. Fun fact: The Shops at Willowbend also has a weekly Farmer’s Market where you can shop locally grown produce and find unique goods from local makers! After shopping at the market, or shopping through the mall, here’s where to sit down (and chow down) in The District.
