The Dallas-Fort Worth area is an incredibly unique shopping destination where you’ll find everything from artisan crafts to the latest styles by luxury designers. And of course, plenty of apparel and jewelry with a “Texas twist” like cowboy boots and hats. Follow this trail guide for a day trip of shopping fun, so you don’t miss out on any of the must-stop shopping spots in DFW!

THE SHOPS AT LEGACY WEST:
The Shops at Legacy West has a store for everyone—from one of our favorite brands, Madewell to the trendy candy shop Sugarfina, and the adorable stationary and gifts shop, Read Between the Lines (that features many Texas-themed items). We recommend shopping here around lunchtime so you have an excuse to dine at the Legacy Food Hall, an epic space that features many locals’ favorite restaurants!
You will find plenty of delightful, unique shops in Downtown Plano Arts District, which can be a nice change of pace from national brands and franchised retail. A few of our favorites are Sutton Place Furniture for one-of-a-kind fixtures and antiques, Lone Star Mint for rare coins and Holman Pottery for handmade artworks (if you have extra time in town, sign-up for a pottery workshop too!).
Catch I-75 South for 12 miles to downtown Dallas. | Approx. Travel Time: 25 min.

NorthPark Center is a luxury shopping destination; not just for the luxury brands found throughout the mall, but for the overall, enjoyable experience. You can shop this large center while taking breaks to enjoy their outstanding art exhibits or choosing to dine at one of the dozens of restaurants. It’s easy to spend a full afternoon at NorthPark!
Inwood Village is our everyday neighborhood shopping center! There are many furniture stores, Hiatus Spa + Retreat, the beautiful Susan Saffron Jewelry shop (where you can usually find Susan herself behind the counter!), and one of our all-time favorite retail shops, Saint Bernard.

MARKET ON MAIN:
Next up: visit Grapevine’s Market on Main, a European-style, open-air market located in Liberty Park, for unique gifts and handmade crafts, including jewelry, chic home décor, authentic antiques and one-of-a-kind treasures—open Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

SOUTHLAKE TOWN SQUARE:
The Southlake Town Square is a Texas-sized outdoor shopping center that brings energy to the retail space through hosting regular events and specials throughout the year. A preview of the shops include Sephora, Kendra Scott, Michael Kors, Vera Bradley, Talbots, Pottery Barn, Vineyard Vines, LuluLemon, Athletica. Truly, that’s just a few of the dozens of stores located at the Southlake Town Square.
Hop on President George Bush Turnpike for 25 miles. | Approx. Travel Time: 35 min.
Coined “America’s #1 Marketplace,” Traders Village is not your average shopping experience. You can find just about anything here for a souvenir, but it’s really for the kids. They’ll love the park with 15 rides (just $12.99 for an all-day pass).
Outlet malls are always a great way to continuously change up your wardrobe without breaking the bank! Grand Prairie Premium Outlets is one of our favorites with more than 100 stores including Saks Off 5th, Bloomingdale’s Brooks Brothers, J.Crew, Kate Spade and so many more—all offering savings from 25% to 65%!
Continue north on President George Bush Turnpike to our last stop. | Approx. Travel Time: 50 min.
THE STAR DISTRICT:
The Star District is a Dallas Cowboys-themed campus that has quickly become one of the top attractions in DFW! We love how brands like Lucchese and Nike have opened locations at The Star, and customized a few products to be branded for The Dallas Cowboys. If you are after Dallas Cowboys swag, then shop at “Fans United,” the ultimate place for fan gear!
