WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR THIS NEW YEARS EVE?
No need to stay awake until midnight, Sci-Tech Discovery Center is giving you the chance to see the ball (balloons) drop at noon! Stop by this Frisco favorite for face painting, hands-on science experiments, balloon twisters, spring-free trampolines, explosive stage shows and more.
Want to enjoy a champagne toast and watch the ball drop with your friends, without the hassle of a pricey ticket, overpriced drinks and dressing up? Well, you’ve hit the jackpot. Complete with drink specials, a casual dress code (I hear they’re encouraging PJs and onsies) and only a $10 admission, Regeneration is the king of low-key this NYE.
WINE & DINE
Channel your inner Gatsby with a night full of swingin’ celebration! You’ll enjoy live music from a Grammy-award-winning big band from New Orleans, the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, snag some party favors and ring in 2019 with a champagne toast at midnight. Cheers, old sport!
11. WINE SQUARED
Charcuterie Boards are so last year…So, Denton’s Wine Squared is ringing in the new year with a Charcuterie Table. Yup, you read that right. An entire table filled with meats, cheeses, desserts and more. Plus, they’ll have wine, jazz tunes and glasses of bubbly to ring in the new year. Yes, please!
12. FIVE SIXTY
Dine in style with the best view in Dallas. This unique restaurant in Reunion Tower is serving a delectable six-course New Years Eve tasting menu for $165. It may seem a bit pricey, but trust me, the dinner and skyline views are worth it. Wine lover? Upgrade to a wine tasting for an additional $50. Pro Tip: Get your reservations ASAP—they’re filling up fast!
Funky Town’s very own Leon Bridges is going to be at New Year’s In The Funk, a soulful party held at a super secret warehouse on the South Side (say that 5 times fast). Although he hasn’t officially said he’ll be performing, one can cross their fingers and toes that he won’t resist the urge to belt out a few soulful hits for the party-goers to enjoy.
This year, you can head to Bourbon Street without leaving the DFW metroplex! The Gaylord Texan will have a New Orleans cocktail bar and live entertainment from Le Freak. Tickets range from $35-$3,500, so you can go all out, or just dip your toes in. The choice is yours!
Nothing says going all out on NYE quite like a Dallas hotel party. Grab tickets, a hotel room and all your friends, because you won’t want to miss out on the modern-day re-creation of Truman Capote’s legendary 1966 “Party Of The Century”! If you want to be part of a new tradition, this one’s for you—it’s The Statler’s inagural NYE bash.
