THIS WEEKEND IN DFW: FESTIVALS, EXPOS + LIGHT SHOWS
Pink Floyd is no longer touring in the flesh, but their legendary music lives on through the beauty of high-powered lasers and large screen video projection. Spend your Friday or Saturday night feeling like you are back in the crowd of one of the famous band’s concerts with this cutting-edge lightshow!

Let’s Play Gaming Expo is a celebration of every type of gaming – board, card, video…you name it. As one of the most interactive conventions around, it is no surprise that this three day gaming affair features 85+ vendor tables, 80+ arcade cabinets, retro and modern game tournaments, panels, special guests and more!
COST – Tickets start at $10. Children under 8 are FREE!
Dallas | August 9-11
Calling all Muggles and Wizards alike — our Hogwarts acceptance letters may have not gotten lost in the mail after all! The world of Harry Potter is coming to DFW for a weekend long extravaganza. Cast members from Harry Potter, including Tom Felton (aka Draco Malfoy), will be on panels and having meet and greets. Don’t mind me as I casually practice my “Wingardium Leviosa” swish and flick. I want to impress the pros!
COST – Tickets start at $59.
Lewisville | August 10-11
Coined as a show run by fans and done for fans, the mission of the Dallas Comic Show is to bring back an affordable pop culture convention experience to the DFW area (and with the lowest day pass starting at $20, they really mean it!). The festival includes comic book guests such as Ken Lashley, Rick Leonardi and many more.
COST – Tickets start at $20.
Arlington | August 10
Although this is the last season for the Rangers to play at Globe Life Park, it’s hard for me to feel sad about it when the unofficial farewell party includes craft beer, wine and cocktails! As the ultimate sampling experience, this event will include live entertainment and DJs, a keepsake glass, lawn games, Rangers tickets and an after party at Texas Live!, not to mention hundreds of craft beer, wine and cocktail brands from around the world. Cheers, Globe Life Park!
COST — Tickets start at $20.
