THIS WEEKEND IN DFW: FESTIVALS, COMMUNITY + CULTURE
Addison | May 31 – June 2
Do you like food? Live music? Carnival rides? If the answer’s yes, then one’s for you. Taste Addison has been around since 1993, and this year, they’re bringing delicious bites, local vendors and big musicians to Addison Circle Park. Josh Abbott Band, Plain White T’s, The All-American Rejects and Smash Mouth will all be taking the stage throughout the weekend. Saturday night, you’ll find me here — Shamelessly rocking out to “All Star”.
COST- Tickets are $15 for adult general admission, $5 for kids ages 6-12. FREE on Sunday!

There’s nothing that says “summer” like beer and barbecue on a lakefront. Take a trip to Little Elm Park and enjoy all of the above, along with live music! This festival also has a kids zone for the little ones, so parents can enjoy catching up and sipping on craft brews while the kiddos play. If you’re wanting to cool off, don’t forget your swimsuit — Little Elm Park has a swimming beach!

Dallas | May 31 – June 2
Gamers, rejoice! Everything gaming is coming under one roof this weekend at Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center. When I say everything, I mean everything: eSports, LAN, streamers, meet and greets, cosplay and more. This awesome convention even has a freeplay area where you can try out retro games, mobile games and VR. Bring your computer, and get ready to game for the whole weekend.
Dallas | June 2
Love the local scene? Find one-of-a-kind gems at this local market, where you can shop from over 60+ local creators, jam out to live music and enjoy craft beer on tap from Four Corners Brewing Co. If you’re like me (and love supporting the cities you visit), you’ll want to take some time to attend Decent Market #5. It’s the perfect spot to shop for local souvenirs before heading back home!
