Plano | November 7-10
The holidays are just around the corner! Make yours stress free by starting your holiday shopping this weekend at the ‘Neath the Wreath Gift Market held at the Plano Event Center. Here, you’ll find over 100 vendors selling everything from jewelry to children’s toys. To be one of the first shoppers and get an exclusive look at all the goodies, head to the Ladies Night Out Preview Party to preshop, eat, drink and enjoy a silent auction. Then, after a hard day of shopping, stop by Legacy West for some yummy food. I highly recommend True Food Kitchen for a seasonal, fresh, and organic meal or Legacy Hall for a variety of options.
COST – Adults are $15 at the door ($12 at your local Tom Thumb) & Children 12 and under are FREE.
Dallas | November 8-10
The 3rd annual EDGE festival is bringing together exciting musical performances and inspiring speakers to the Bomb Factory Stage. Come see singer Leon Bridges, recording artist St. Vincent, designer Brandon Maxwell, Texas Monthly editors and special guests. While you’re there, explore the fun area of Deep Ellum and check out delicious restaurants like the famous Pecan Lodge, a local favorite for Texas BBQ.
COST – A weekend pass is $150, Friday pass is $25 (Texas Monthly Live), and Saturday pass is $50 (Leon Bridges concert).
Dallas | November 9-10
Calling all shoppers! It’s a treat yourself kind of weekend at Deep Ellum Creative Market. Along with over 50 local vendors selling an assortment of goodies, there will be live music, mural walls and art installations for fun pictures. The whole family (including your furry friends) can come support local artists and join the fun at this inagural market. After your shopping spree, don’t forget to check out the fun stores and murals in the Deep Ellum neighborhood! You never know what cool art you’ll find while walking around this Dallas area.

Fort Worth | November 9
Love college football? Head to Fort Worth for an exciting game at Amon G. Carter Stadium. The TCU vs. Baylor rivalry (also known as The Revivalry) goes way back, and this year, they’re evenly matched — making this game a hard one to miss! I’d highly suggest planning a weekend trip around this event, so you can enjoy the thrilling game, experience the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards and explore unique spots around Fort Worth like the Fort Worth Water Gardens.

Southlake | November 9
Enjoy the weather for a little while longer at Bob Jones Nature Center and Preserve. Family Fun Day includes hiking and learning about the local trees. You’ll even get to take home a sapling! It will for sure be a tree-ific time for the whole family. If you want to continue your outdoor adventure, make your way to Southlake Town Square for an outdoor shopping experience and awesome restaurants.

Lewisville | November 10
Have you ever been kayaking? Now’s your chance! Whether you’re a kayak beginner or a pro, you can go on a fun-filled kayaking adventure at the Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area this weekend. Instructors will teach you about kayaking and basic water safety before going on a guided tour of McWhorter Creek and the Beaver Pond. See how many cool animals you can spot along the way!
