NATIONAL SOCCER HALL OF FAME EXPERIENCE
I’m not as knowledgeable about soccer as I’d like, but thanks to the National Soccer Hall of Fame Experience, we can all learn something about the sport. Several digital touch screens will teach visitors about the history and defining moments of soccer. Some of these include reliving the 10 greatest moments in US Women’s National Team history or the Rise of Major League Soccer showcasing the greatest players in the league. There’s even a touch screen wall where all of the Hall of Fame members will live virtually. Sounds pretty cool, right?
I’m probably most excited about the facial recognition registration process. Before you call me crazy and think it’s some weird invasion of privacy, take a look at how it works (keep in mind, the goal is to make it the most personalized experience in all of sports). The registration process starts by taking your photo (so smile pretty and brush your hair!). Then you’ll be prompted to answer four simple questions: your home state, your favorite US based pro soccer teams (up to 4), your favorite soccer position and your fandom level on a sliding scale (this is where your experience will really be tailored).
Based on your answers, the 13 audio-visual experiences will provide information that is most interesting to you (so if you’re like me and need an intro-level crash course, that’ll be much easier thanks to this process). No two people will have the same experience inside of the National Soccer Hall of Fame making it the most personalized experience in sports!
