65TH ANNUAL FESTIVAL OF TREES:
On November 16 and 17, join locals as they bid on holiday goodies at this silent auction benefitting Habitat for Humanity. Decorated trees, wreaths and even a Santa’s bag full of one-of-a-kind items—you’ll find it all here!
Ring in the holidays on November 27, with a parade of lights and a tree lighting countdown. There will also be a petting zoo for the kiddos, pony rides and pictures with Santa. Be sure to wave to him as he goes by in the parade!
During the first two weekends of December, walk with Mary and Joseph through ancient Bethlehem and meet merchants, craftsmen, tradesmen and others who will portray life as it was 2,000 years ago. This live nativity will even have real sheep, camels and donkeys!
If you love holiday decorations, this needs to be on your checklist. Throughout the first weekend in December, you can tour homes in Waxahachie—ranging from the Victorian era to the 21st century—all decked out in their holiday finest.

JUNK IN THE TRUNK:
You know what they say, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure! If you’re looking for a gift (or just want to shop for yourself) head to this community-wide resale event on November 17 to discover unique finds.
On December 1, shop from over 100 local vendors and cross those last items off your gift list! In addition to shopping for your loved ones, you’ll be spreading holiday cheer throughout the community as event proceeds benefit local charities.
Run with hundreds of Santas during the annual Santa 5K and mile run! Each runner will get a Santa suit to wear while they run through Historic Downtown Waxahachie. Plus, there will be milk and cookies waiting for you at the finish line.
