September 27 – 28 » The city of Lewisville holds its annual Western Days Festival every September, complete with a cattle parade featuring up to 30 Texas Longhorns. Feedstore BBQ in Southlake dates back to the 1950’s and they’ve been serving up Texas BBQ since 2001. Built on the owners land, you can feed goats, donkeys, and cows free of charge! Southfork Ranch was the setting to the television series, Dallas, featuring the famous Ewing Ranch. Visitors can tour the mansion, taking in sights of JR’s bedroom and memorabilia from the show. A bronze cattle drive featuring 49 steers, lead by three cowboys symbolizes the trails that brought settlers to Dallas in the nineteenth century.
